Texas World Speedway announces schedule for 2005 TRRC race season.

The TWS Texas Road Racing Championship has been created to maintain the simple life of going to the track, competing, having fun, & going home w/ your racecar in the same condition that it arrived. This series provides an opportunity for drivers, teams, & sponsors to show off their racing skills & cars. The foundation of the Texas Road Racing Championship is gentleman's racing and courtesy. This racing seires will provide generous practice time for improving skills and maximum track time for the weekend.

Jeff Holbrook wins inaguaral Texas Road Racing Championship at TWS.
Jack Turner, General Manager at TWS, presented the trophy, Dec 12th, after the series final race. Jack stated "This is gentleman's racing but these guys are very competitive & all respect each other. I am very pleased to have drivers such as Jeff Holbrook & O J Young and teams like PhillipsRacePrep participating in the series."
Congratulation to Jeff & Rhom on a job well done. Jeff was always there at the finish of each race in his beautiful #62 Spec Miata (see our home page for photo).
Also, Congratulations to O J Young, winning the first and last races, placing 2nd in the series - missing first by one point. Great job guys!

John Phillips III wins Wheels of America Racing Series!
PhillipsRacePrep - "It has been a fun year. This is a great group to race with! We have set numerous track records, stood on the first place podium many times, & have added lots of drivers to our racing team. 2005 will be even better.

The PhillipsRacePrep Spec Miata wins the 6 hour Enduro at TWS for a second year in a row! A special thanks to our crew chief - Taylor & team - Nanetta, Bob, Jessica, Jamie, Rhom, Kenny, Leon & Steve. Some kick-butt tire changes by Taylor & Bob and excellent race strategy put us on top again.
Our drivers were right on the money - rain & shine - we set the fastest race laps - Great job! - John Phillips, Aaron McSpadden (fastest race lap) & Mike Crothers in SM#08 and Jeff Holbrook & Ron Kerr in SM#01

John Phillips III wins Regional SCCA SW division Spec Miata Championship. One thing to note about this championship win, is that John used 4 different Spec Miatas - all customer cars. Hey! - he not only builds great cars, but he can drive & win in them as well! Oh yes & remember he also won the SW Div. National Championship in SSB earlier this year.
